Connecting Point Communications
Hosts BBBS Fundraiser
March 26, 2004 – San Francisco, CA. Connecting
Point Communications, last evening, hosted a fundraiser for Big
Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) at the Minna Gallery in San Francisco
that was attended by several hundred well-wishers and raised several
thousand dollars for the local chapter of the popular organization.
Connecting Point Communications covered all expenses
so that the full amount of admission could go directly to BBBS.
Entertainment was donated by Don Clark & Off The Record attracting
a spirited audience who danced their way right through closing time.
PULSE Entertainment donated a special set up where attendees could
be turned into “Veepers” – having their photograph
taken, recording a few sentences and being turned into digital human
post-cards for emailing to their friends at a later time. PRISMIQ
donated its high end PRISMIQ MediaPlayer as door prize.
“This is a terrific windfall for Big Brothers
Big Sisters,” said Bill O’Dell, chairman of the BBBS
local chapter board of directors. “Funding is always badly
needed so the money raised here tonight will go a long way. Even
more importantly, given the high caliber of Bay Area executives
and members of the media in attendance, this event will give BBBS
a valuable visibility lift. We thank Connecting Point Communications
and all the other contributors who have made this event such a success.”
“I was a Big Sister earlier in my life and
know firsthand how important this program is to young people who
are in dire need of mentorship,” said Christine Boehlke, Connecting
Point Communications Founder and CEO. We want to thank Don Clark
and his ___ band, Garth Chouteau at PULSE and Brad Kayton at PRISMIQ
for joining in to make this both a fun and a profitable evening.”
Connecting Point Communications is one of North
America's leading independent public relations firms. Founded in
2003 by Christine and William Boehlke, formerly CEOs of Phase Two
