Connecting Point Communications
CEO Serves as Silver Anvil Judge
March 7, 2003 – San Francisco, CA. Connecting
Point Communications announced that Christine Boehlke, Founder and
CEO, will participate as a judge in choosing the 2003 Silver Anvil
Awards. The Silver Anvil Awards are an annual program of the Public
Relations Society of America and often are referred to as “the
Academy Awards of public relations.” Judging takes place in
New York City later this month. Winners then are announced at a
gala event, also in New York City, in June.
Silver Anvils are awarded in 53 categories. Entrants
submit write-ups following strict guidelines on which judges focus,
along with binders that include samples of the activities described
in the summary documents. More than 1,000 entries usually are submitted
each year.
“I’m delighted to be asked to participate
in this very important professional event,” said Christine
Boehlke, the firm’s Founder and CEO. “Peer review competitions
of this nature help set new standards of best practices for our
entire profession and certainly The Silver Anvil is the most rigid
and most respected of all. I am honored to join a very distinguished
panel of my peers in contributing to this year’s competition.”
