Why Choose CPCBenefitsOpportunitiesInternships at CPC

Our Year Round Internship Program is considered one of the best in our profession. We often fill our spaces in advance of each semester so we encourage you to apply early if you can. You must be a senior year undergraduate or a graduate student with previous internships.

Connect With the Best Public Relations Paid Internship

Connect with your future public relations career success right now – at Connecting Point Communications. We’re a top San Francisco based independent national technology public relations firm and a 2004 winner of the coveted Silver Anvil – the Academy Award of public relations.

Our clients are well-recognized names across a variety of consumer and business products and services. They have at least one thing in common – they love our work. Check our Client Testimonials to see what they say about us.

Our clients demand Type A achievers who excel at being resourceful, creative, results-oriented professionals – so that’s what we seek of you. This position has no clerical support work.

Our intern program places several extraordinary individuals per semester into an intensive program of mentoring with a full roster of the same professional activities you would have if you joined us as a regular status professional post-graduation – which is a possibility we would love to consider if all goes great!

You may not have the PR experience – that’s why you seek an internship – but you are as smart as you’ll ever be and we’ll treat you that way. If you give us your all, we’ll guarantee you one of the most exciting experiences of your college years. We’ll also give you support to speed your post-college success in a number of ways, ranging from experience and skills development through introductions, references and referrals.

To qualify, you must:

  • Be a college senior or post-grad still seeking the right focus for yourself, with a combination of at least two internships and/or summer jobs in a business environment
  • Have credentials that demonstrate top academic and leadership performance
  • Be driven to determine your ability to enjoy and excel in the field of public relations
  • Be able to work a regular schedule of at least 20 hours per week

If you are selected as an intern, you will:

  • “Learn more about public relations in one semester than “I’ve learned about anything else in a full year of courses or any other job or internship,” according to one of our recent interns
  • Be a full member of the client service team for two of the firm’s clients, where you will have a senior executive of our firm as personal mentor
  • Perform a full roster of public relations activities and meet regularly, in person, with our client contacts as part of your responsibilities and learning
  • Be likely to qualify for course credits and, if your college has not yet accredited our program, we will work with you to achieve proper status
  • Have an inside track to potentially joining us fulltime after graduation, if you’ve met our expectations and have a desire to continue on

My Best Internship

“I’ve had other PR internships and none of them came close to this one for all around learning. I really learned how PR agencies work through my hands-on participation in all aspects of client work.

— Alexis, University of the Pacific

I Came Back for More

I was so taken with my Fall CPC internship that when they invited me back for the Spring I jumped at the opportunity. I’m now seeing the context of how everything fits together, and am even helping to train our newest interns as well as step up my participation in client interactions.

— Jenny, University of California, Berkeley

I Stayed

I spent my last semester interning with CPC. I was involved in all parts of a program for a well known international brand. When CPC offered me a position I accepted and every morning I look forward to learning something new and creating great results for my clients.

— Jon, University of California, Davis
