Curtis SparrerCurtis Sparrer, Vice President, has over 10 years of experience including work in software, electronics and B2B e-commerce that has garnered great media coverage and business results. His behind-the-scenes media experience not only helps his clients attract the attention of the most coveted names in journalism, it also prepares them for their moment in the spotlight.

Curtis has led successful international PR programs for popular consumer brands like Tetris and PC Tools—coordinating coverage in every time zone and leading agencies scattered across the globe. For Tetris’ 25th anniversary, Curtis’ team secured coverage in over 70 countries, with over 1,600 unique articles, and over 120 television reports. The coverage was so extensive that it caught the eye of Google, which decided to honor Tetris’ anniversary by changing its homepage into the shape of Tetris’ distinctive building blocks on the day Tetris was first played twenty-five years ago. For online security company PC Tools, a division of Symantec, Curtis created PR programs which attracted worldwide attention. Coverage included reports by ABC News and MSNBC.

B2B clients like ON24, GlobalEnglish, Imagine and Acesis rely on Curtis’ expertise in message development, awards, and analyst relations to help level the field when competing for attention in a field of goliaths. Curtis’ teams have launched an array of software and SaaS solutions, garnering coverage in diverse outlets—from industry blogs to the Wall Street Journal. Curtis has secured both local and national television and online coverage for clients by making esoteric business concepts friendly to both the media and his clients’ positioning.

Curtis’ ability to position clients before the nation’s largest media outlets comes from his past journalism experience. As the Emmy-award winning Executive Producer of KRON-TV, the nation’s largest independent television station, Curtis knows what a company should do to get its story distributed and its message communicated. His intensive “TV training by an executive producer” program is a must for any executive who is taking his or her message to a national stage. Curtis tells his clients while it’s tough to get on TV, it’s far more important to do well once they get the opportunity. His work has helped consumer companies like Jitterbug and Kensington make the most of their on-air appearances.

Curtis holds a BA in Plan II Liberal Arts and a BS in Radio-Television-Film from the University of Texas at Austin and has also studied abroad at Brasenose College in Oxford, England and Sakura in Japan as a U.S. Senate Exchange Scholar.
